Sat 21st Nov 2020 – A HUGE success

LOCKDOWN 2.0 QUIZ NIGHT – a HUGE success
Putney Rotary club held an amazing online Quiz Night on Zoom to raise funds for children in need within our community.
We made an incredible £807.50 from Quizzers and generous donations, so thank you all so much!
The Quiz Night on 21 November 2020 was the first of what will hopefully become a new annual tradition, so thank you so much for joining us in making it a wonderfully successful event.
We’ve partnered with Wandsworth Council’s Roehampton BASE and Wandsworth Boxing Club so we can put smiles on the faces of the families they serve in our community this festive season. COVID-19 has made it even harder for these vulnerable families to provide presents for their children during these hard times.
With your ticket fee and/or donation, we are creating Gift Boxes filled with toys, puzzles, games, books, toiletries, socks & gloves, stationery, and more.
Everyone came with a glass of their special tipple and nibbles, and dressed up in their favourite Lockdown 2.0 outfit, with and without their pets!
Paddy won the best dressed Lockdown 2.0 Quizzer, as Lady Quarantino from the winning team!
A huge thank you to all the teams:
1. Quenton Quarantino, 2. Santa, 3. Very Clever Group, 4. The Quizlings and 5. Home Not Alone.
Thank you to all who participated from USA to London to SA, for making Lockdown 2.0 Quiz Night such a fabulous success.
What a fun quiz! Lots of laughter, meeting new people and prizes for the best lockdown outfit and winning team!
Also, a big thank you to Adrian and Shirley of Rotary Club of Dulwich, Peckham & Crystal Palace for Zoom administration.
Thank you for your kind support, we couldn’t have done it without you!
Please help us collect items for the Gift Boxes!
We’re collecting toys for 100 Gift Boxes, but we may well be able to extend to 180 families with everyone’s kind generosity.
The money we raised from Lockdown 2.0 Quiz night will buy toys, stationery, diaries, books, pens, pencil cases, toiletries, yummy nuts & mince pies, socks & gloves, woolly hats and fun stuff you’d expect to find in a festive holiday gift box!
Thank you for helping us make this a special festive season to remember, for families in need in our community.
